Welcome everyone to your first Scavenger Challenge. We will be having two types of challenges in this game: Scavenger and Survival. Survival Challenges are for immunity. You win them, and you cannot be eliminated from the game. However, this is a Scavenger Challenge. This type of challenge will be used for issuing Rewards to various players and/or tribes throughout the game. They will not happen every round, but this will also not be the last you see of this type of challenge.
For this challenge, you have been laying in bed getting a good night's sleep when you're startled awake by some screaming outside. You will need to find out what is happening and get yourself to safety as quickly as possible, while possibly gathering supplies along the way.
To do this, you will start a thread in your confessional to do the challenge and make the following posts… (each line in the challenge will be a different post in your confessional)
*Name* hears screaming.
*Name* jumps out of bed.
*Name* runs downstairs.
*Name* runs outside.
*Name* finds a familiar face.
*Name* finds out what's going on.
*Optional Task*
*Name* runs to a supply store.
*Name* searches for supplies. (1)*
*Name* leaves the supply store.
*End of Optional Task*
*Name* hears about a Safety Bunker.
*Name* starts running toward the Safety Bunker.
*Name* continues running towards the Safety Bunker. (1)**
*Optional Task #2*
*Name* spots a new supply store.
*Name* searches for supplies. (1)***
*Name* leaves supply store.
*Name* continues running towards the bunker.
*End of Optional Task #2*
*Name* arrives at the bunker.
*Name* notices the numerical door lock.
*Name* tries the code ####. ****
*Name* opens the door to the Bunker.
*Name enters the Bunker.
*Name* shuts the Bunker door.

* For the first Optional Task, you can search for supplies up to 30 times. Each time you search for supplies, you need to put the correct number in the parentheses next to the sentence. So, the first time you search for supplies, you will have the number 1 in parenthesis next to the sentence while the second time you search for supplies, you will have the number 2 next to the sentence, and so on until you are done searching for supplies or reach the number 30 (the max you can do for this one).
** For this task, you must have the correct number in the parenthesis next to the Safety Bunker. The first time you post *Name* continues running towards the Safety Bunker. (1) you will have a 1 in the parenthesis next to the sentence. The next time you post that sentence, you will have a number 2 in that parenthesis. You will keep doing this until you have done so 25 times. After the 25 posting of this line, you may move onto the next part of the challenge.
*** For the second Optional Task, you can search for supplies up to 35 times. Each time you search for supplies, you need to put the correct number in the parentheses next to the sentence. So, the first time you search for supplies, you will have the number 1 in parenthesis next to the sentence while the second time you search for supplies, you will have the number 2 next to the sentence, and so on until you are done searching for supplies or reach the number 35 (the max you can do for this one).
**** The number that you will enter in as the door code in place of #### will be different for each person (theoretically). The first two digits of the code will be the exact minute you made your first post of the challenge. The third and fourth digits in the code will be the current minute you are about to post on. Let's say for example that you started the challenge at 9:05pm and you are about to make this post at 9:19pm. Your door code would then be 0519. I obviously will not be around when every single person does the challenge, so if you enter in the wrong code, you may still continue on in the challenge, but you will receive the 3 minute penalty to your final time for having the incorrect code. We'll just say that it took 3 minutes of you pounding on the door for someone to let you in.
Your time begins with your first post in your confessional (for the challenge). This means that you cannot set up a thread for the challenge in advance. Once you make the first post in the thread you use for the challenge, time will start.
The five people who have the overall fastest times will all be guaranteed immunity this first round and be in the same Bunker. In the event of a tie, the players who completed their challenge first will get the spot.
The five people who gathered the most supplies (of the remaining players) will all be placed in the same Bunker with a special advantage in the next Survival Challenge. In the event of a tie, the players who completed the challenge in the quickest time will get the spot. In the event of a further tie, the players who completed the challenge first will get the spot.
The five people with the fastest times (of the remaining players) will all be placed in the same Bunker with a different special advantage in the next Survival Challenge. In the event of a tie, the players who completed their challenge first will get the spot.
The five remaining players will all be placed in the remaining Bunker with no advantage in the next Survival Challenge.
Also, the player who gathered the most supplies overall will win a special Reward. This player's name will not be revealed and that person will be the only one to know what s/he gets.
