Rules For SEG's Big Brother 14 On-Season Game[/size]
*These are in addition to Brian's general rules for SEG, which can be found at the top of this site.
All deadlines will be posted in Eastern Standard Time
Weekly Picks
- Each week all players still in the game are to send in their picks to me (JP). Any picks sent to another host, or any other account, will not be accepted. Please make it a habit to double check your outbox after you send as we all know mistakes can happen.
Submissions are due one hour before an episode, which for now will be 7c/8e. (pending actual air times from CBS). Weekly picks are divided in 3 parts, depending on the episodes. Submissions are due on Thursdays, Sundays and Wednesdays.
You may send in a full week's worth of guesses if you want all at once, or you may send your picks in "parts". Each part has a different deadline.
You may continue to re-send as many times as you want, but your time for that part will reset.
If you are even a minute late, your picks will not count, unless we have worked something out previously.
Scoring is posted with the picks questions. There will be no bonus questions in this game. There are just too many episodes to come up with bonus questions for each of them.
- In the event of a tie, this will be determined by the time in which you send your picks for that part.
**Special Notes**
- If you don't think something particular is going to happen that week, make sure you say None.
GENERAL SCHEDULE
Head of Household
- The new HoH will be the HouseGuest who scores the most points from the Thursday and Sunday picks. If there is a tie, then whoever sent in their Thursday picks first wins. The new HOH will be revealed every Monday, right after the Eviction ceremony. The deadline for the HoH to post their Nominees will always be Wednesday 12pm EST, unless the schedule of the episodes changes.
Power of Veto
- The HoH, the 2 nominees, plus 3 people chosen at random, or a HouseGuest's choice, will compete for the Power of Veto. The Veto winner will be the HouseGuest who is participating in the Veto competition that scores the most points from the Wednesday picks. If there is a tie, then whoever sent in their Wednesday picks first wins. The PoV winner will be revealed every Thursday, and they have 24 hours to decide if they will use the Power of Veto on one of the nominees or not. If they do not use the Power of Veto, the voting immediately begins. If they choose to use the PoV to save one of the nominees, the HoH will have 24 hours to name a replacement nominee.
Voting
- Evictions will happen starting on Friday, after the POV winner has made their decision. If the Veto winner used it to save a nominee, then voting will begin on Saturday after the HoH names the replacement nominee. Votes will be accepted up until Monday 12 PM EST.
- Votes may not be re-sent. Once you send you cannot change so be sure of your decision.
- Any votes sent after the deadline (even if by seconds) will not be counted, and you will get a Strike (see below).
- I will not reveal who voted for who, only the final vote count. (Unless there's a twist on the show pertaining to the votes)
- I will not allow others to vote for you. If you know you are going to be gone, get in touch with me and get me a boot list.
Voting Ties
- In the event of a tie the HOH will break the tie. Period.
Twists
- Twists in the show may be altered in this game in order to duplicate the surprise factor of the show. However, for the most part they will be done to mirror the show as much as possible.
Strikes
- If you fail to vote you will receive a Strike. The player who received a strike will have their score for the next HoH competition nullified, thus preventing them from winning the HoH and affecting their overall season score.
- If during the course of the show a contestant quits, the person with the most strikes against them will be deemed as having “quit” and removed from the game.
- If there is a tie between 2 or more players with strikes against them then the HouseGuest with the lower score will leave the game.
- If no remaining players have any strikes against them then the HouseGuest with the lowest over all score will be evicted from the game.
Confessionals
- There will not be formal confessionals this year. However I will be sending you PM interview questions, and you may send me confessionals whenever you want. I will keep track of them in the reunion show.
HOFs
- The Finalists will receive a Hall of Fame nod. This is typically 2, but it will depend on how many are in the finals for the show.
**All of these rules are in addition to Brian's General Rules of playing at SEG. Please read these rules for VERY in depth instructions further than what is said here. Some of the things in his rules have been changed so ignore those parts only (such as how ties are broken)**
