SURVIVOR ELIMINATION GAME RULES
1- Registration There are only 16 spots available per game. (Subject to change.) All you need to do to sign up is post your name on the appropriate thread in the section marked 'Registration'. (Multiple games will be run as needed.)
Once we have enough people signed up, I will randomly break the participants into tribes equal to the how the show starts.
2- Weekly Picks Each week, every member of each tribe will IM me their picks. (IM means Instant Message.) When submitting their picks each week, the players must IM me telling me which tribe they think is going to win the Reward Challenge as well as the Immunity Challenge. The deadline for pick subission is 1 hour before the show airs. After that they will not count. After each episode airs, I will post the results. (Showing who scored points and how many points they scored for each tribe.)
*****Your picks for the next week can be sent in only after the current weeks scoring results have been posted. (This is to make sure everything is fair despite time zone differentials. It wouldn't be fair for someone on the East Coast to have a couple hour advatage over someone the West COast based solely on what time their network airs Survivor.) So pick can be sent from when weekly scoring results are posted all the way up until 1 hour before showtime. (This 1 hour delay is in order to prevent an unfair advantage to those in th eastern and central time zones who get the show an hour before the west coast does.)
Please note that if you have already submitted your picks, they can be changed up until the deadline.
Tribes get 1 point for each correct answer. (Scoring is different after the merge.)
3- Tribal Immunity & Tribal Council Votes The highest scoring tribe wins Immunity.
The tribe that has the lowest total points for the week is headed to Tribal Council where they must vote out one of their own tribemates. The voting is done by sending me an IM.
Tribal Council votes can not be submitted before I post the weekly scoring results. A vote submitted early still counts as a vote for whoever it was cast to, but the time it was sent in does not count towards any tiebreakers. If the voter resends the vote, their new time will be used. Otherwise it will be as if it was sent in at the last possible second.
Once you submit your Tribal Council vote, it can not be changed. Once you turn it in, consider it dropped into the voting urn.
IF THERE IS A EVER A TIE BETWEEN TRIBES FOR IMMUNITY THAT NEEDS TO BE BROKEN, IT WILL COME DOWN TO WHO SUBMITTED THEIR FINAL PICKS TO ME EARLIEST. (This means that if two tribes are tied with the lowest score, whichever tribe had all of their picks in first would win Immunity and thereby avoid Tribal Council.)
If there is ever a tie between two individuals at Tribal Council, it will be broken as follows....
TIEBREAKER RULE:
If there is any ties in Tribal Council voting, they will be broken as follows...
1st tiebreaker: Previous TC votes
2nd tiebreaker: Total Points (season)
3rd tiebreaker: Whoever sent in TC Vote first.
4- Sitting out Challenges Once there are uneven tribes due to people being eliminated, I will randomly pick one (or more) member(s) from any tribe with a number advantage to sit out that week.
5- Tribal Shakeups In keeping with the unpredictability of Survivor, if there are any tribal shakeups in the show, we will do the same. This will be randomly done by me in the days following the show. (FYI: It is this website's policy that a host is not allowed to play in a game they are hosting, so don't be concerned that myself {or any other host} is going to cheat to win or anything like that.)
6- The Merge Once the show merges, so will we. At that point it becomes an individual competition.
******OUR GAME BECOMES AN INDIVIDUAL CONTEST AT THE MERGER!******
When you send in your picks (post-merge) you will need to guess which individual is going to win the Reward Challenge (RC), the Immunity Challenge (IC), as well as who gets voted off the show that week at Tribal Council. A correct pick for the RC winner is worth 3 points. A correct pick for the IC winner is worth 3 points. A correct pick on who's getting booted is worth 5 points.
Whoever ends up with the most total points for the week gets Individual Immunity and CAN NOT be voted out. Everyone else is fair game. The tiebreaker for Immunity will be whoever turned in their picks first. (Remember that they can't be submitted before I post results though.)
7- The Jury The players voted out in 9th through 3rd place will constitute our Jury. (Subject to change depending on the the show taking an unforseen swerve to a different number of jurors.) In the end, it will be their decision who walks away as the winner.
8- The Final 4 Once we get down to our Final 4. (It will be going into the final episode if all goes according to plan.) Each person will IM me their picks, consisting of who they think will come in 4th (worth 3 points), who they think will come in 3rd (worth 5 points), who they think will get 2nd (worth 8 points) and who they think will win (worth 15 points). The scores of the final week will be kept secret until the Final 3 Tribal Council, (but whoever scores the highest for the final week will still win Immunity, you just won't know their exact score.)
There will be a Final 4 Tribal Council, resulting in a boot and bringing us down to the Final 3. At this point, I will make the final episode results known. Whoever has the MOST TOTAL POINTS IN THE GAME (Overall) wins the precious Final Immunity. They get to select who they want to go into the Final 2 with. At that point, the 7 members of the jury will ask 1 question each, then the Final 2 will be given time to respond and make their final statements on why they should win. Then the jury votes and I announce the winner.
9- Resources and Spoilers You can (and are encouraged to) use any resources you can find to help you with your picks. This includes internet sites as well as any other source you can think of that might give you some inside info. Please see the 'Website Links' section of this page for easy access to spoiler sites. (Website Links Section coming soon.)
Please know that I DO NOT ALLOW SPOILERS TO BE POSTED ON MY SITE! If I see them, they'll be removed.
10- Alliances. It is acceptable (and encouraged) that you talk to your fellow tribemates via IM or email and make some voting alliances. I'm not saying you have to, but you may not be here very long if you don't.
General Rules
This should go without saying, but you are only allowed to play as 1 person per game. In an effort to thwart any potential cheaters, I am going to be checking IP addresses. No 2 players in the same game may be posting from the same IP address. If you play from work and you have co-workers that want to play, that's fine, but we'll just make sure you are in different games. If 2 players are caught with the same IP address or other verification that they are the same person, THEY WILL BOTH BE REMOVED FROM THE GAME!
If you are going to be out of town for a week and unable to cast your vote for a Tribal Council, you may contact your host about permission to mirror an allies vote or allow another ally to cast your vote for you. Under no circumstances should you be logging in to anyone's account, nor should anyone be logging in to yours.
No racism will be tolerated.
Be nice to each other. It's just a game. I know it's very easy to feel betrayed in this game (It happens all the time.) and its okay to be upset with the person that betrayed you, but please... Let's remember it is only a game. If someone upsets you in the game, that should not affect your views on them as a real person. It's all part of the game.
If you make it on to the jury, but then fail to participate in final council, you will be suspended from SEG for 1 year.
Most important rule... Have fun!
It is only a game so please don't gripe when/if you are eliminated because out of 16 people playing, only 1 is going to win. I am doing this in my spare time and I am really not getting anything out of it (except the enjoyment I get out of running these types of things.) so please don't complain to me if you get voted out. (Hey, it wasn't me that voted for you.) If you choose to do so to the point that it becomes excessively annoying to myself or others, you could very well find yourself not being invited back for upcoming seasons. If someone really becomes a problem, they will be banned.
There is no age restriction on this game, however, due to the nature of the psychological aspects of it, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 16. If you do play, be prepared for what you are getting in to... You will be lied to. You will be deceived. You will have someone you trust stab you in the back. It's the nature of the game. If you are mature enough to handle these things (and maybe even dish some of your own out), then feel free to sign right up. If you feel like you will become mad when someone lies to you, then please... Enjoy your front row seat as a spectator.
***The host reserves the right to tweak these rules if it is realized that something was left uncovered, forgotten, or the show itself takes an unforeseen turn.
