I still maintain that's the incorrect way to spell that name. Poor girl can't follow directions or correctly spell her own name

I really enjoyed the episode and my thoughts on it were pretty much in line with JPs post. Lookin forward to a pretty cool season.
Some obserations... Colton is gonna be annoying. I hope he's getting a lot of time because he's a very early boot, like week 2 or 3, and not because he sticks around to the end.
The guy stealing the girls' supplies was fantastic! And the best part was that none of the girls even figured out who did it so all the guys share the blame.
The girls stealing fire was a good moment, but so was learning they weren't able to keep it going for even one night.
The girl that broke her wrist... Oh man.. To get medically eliminated in the first stage of the first challenge is brutal.... I'm not sure if playing Survivor was any type of lifelong dream for her, but to get knocked out like that must have been pretty devastating.
As you can tell, I don't have all the names down yet. That usually takes me a few episodes.
I'm happy to see Exile and Redemption out of play and the game going back to basics. I don't like the immunity idols though and wish they would have gotten rid of those too.
Overall though, I'm looking forward to a cool season.

I loved the episode too! Love the twist. So far, I find the women more fun and entertaining but that could change. I'm bummed that Courtney left because of her injury because I thought she had a lot of potential. My favourite bit was at tribal council though, when Alicia was trying to call Christina out and it totally back-fired on herself. Loved Christina's quotes, "Because you are wrong, ok, so shut up" and the others reactions were priceless!

I LOVE Colton <3 He's gonna be entertaining, and hopefully NOT an early boot. I feel like he's getting the Kristina Kell Goddess edit though

I thought I was going to love it because it was going to be so different. But I forgot about men vs women seasons - thank you Jeff/zKP for your very cute recap in the results of your game - loved it!
I get upset about challenges that need safety rules and Kourtney was badly hurt and had to leave. It's natural to want to use your hands out of fear or dropping that far. So blame Survivor, inc. so many shoes flying off - I suppose that was funny.
And, silly me I imagined players trying to get along living on one beach (loved Colton pointing out "but it's Survivor One World" lol) To start off with good will early - to me that is smart.
I like "country girl" who caught the chickens - at least she tried to broker a deal in a non-threatening way and loved that she caught both - she wins the chicken run challenge!
I don't like Jay so far. Like Brian I need to learn names and I need to give it more of a chance, but my reaction was disappointment to the first episode.

Oh yes, the country girl! I loved it when she caught the 2nd chicken one-handed! (because her other hand was already holding another chicken!) She's like a super ninja assassin. lol
I also felt bad for Kourtney. She reminded me of Ginnifer Goodwin's character in Once Upon a Time, and I would have loved it if she went far. I wonder if they'll do a challenge like that again? I think it's the first time they have people jump off to a safety net. (before they only run up/down/through them). I don't think they'll repeat it again.

Who in the hell nicknames themselves "troyzan"?
Good lord, there's a troyzan AND a tarzan. I'd vote them both off just for having stupid nicknames.

And after last nights episode...Tarzan would go first...just based on the banana hammock undies. I never thought anyones junk hanging out would be as bad a Phillip Sheppards. Boy, was I wrong. I do NOT want to be seeing those for another 30+ days.

I think they made a very poor decision last night. They needed to keep the ex-cop and ditch the stupid young bimbo. My guess is that challenges will not be overly physical, since it is Men vs. Women and there will likely be an emphasis on mental challenges.....in which brains would be needed more than a cheerleader.

i don't know. I rarely if ever use this word but Nina annoyed me. i don't like cocky in women either. Kat is young but there have been young winners. I'm disappointed for the older women group of the world next week doesn't look so good from the promo!

Another great episode!
First off, I wanna say that Kat is not as stupid as she was made out to be. I can identify with that youthful enthusiasm and while I may be very competitive I also only do things that I know I can win. She took a chance at the worst time, it backfired, and she panicked. Al the women panicked really. And given that they were already down in numbers the result was a completley natural response. Why she jumped in the water twice? Maybe she thought that she was supposed to lead off again or more likely it was just a natural brain fart born from panic. I probably would have jumped in the water myself on pure impulse.
Colton. This guy is really alienating himself because he's not even trying to relate to the guys. He should at least do some work around camp or something. Basically his head is swelling up with confidence because of the idol. So, yeah first vote he's safe and he'll probably get one of the brawn alliance, but he'll be second to go no doubt no matter what relationship he has with his "misfits." I did however see the humour during the immunity challange as he went across and you could tell that some of the guys were real uncomfortable hugging or holding Colton. Men and homophobia, it's natural. It's one reason why we always have to have a stall between us and another person when we pee.
Nina. I think the staff had originally planned for Nina to be the more guy than girl member of the women tribe much like what they did with Colton. Hearing her speak and act definetly suggested that she would have done a whole lot better on a tribe with some men. She wasn't lively like the younger girls so her presence wasn't felt. Probably the main reason they voted her out second.
I love men and women dynamics. The Tarzan dance was crazy and stupid just like what happens when a bunch of men get together. We can definetly be the most idiotic of the two sexes sometimes, but as was pointed out by women leader Sabrina we're also more upfront and confronational about our problems. Women, on the other hand, are much better strategists in my opinion with a more sly attitude and personal direction than men, but that demeanor breeds festering hate towards each other because they let the annoyances build without going to the object of their annoyance first. Perhaps, it's just that women are more self-conscious than men are. Men are more focused on action and what they can do while women value more about who they are with and who they are as an individual. Ok, I'm rambling...
What do y'all think about the episode and the season so far?

I really thought the women were going to lose again! I can't believe they won 2 challenges in this episode. The men are in trouble, especially after that Tribal Council. I think they'll go back to TC again especially from what they showed us in the previews. As for Colton... I like how he's strategized his way out of a hole and survived TC but I don't like his cocky attitude. If you're going to be cocky, do it behind the scenes! Never tell anyone "you chose the wrong side" because it just fuels the fire of your enemy. Is it wrong that I agreed with the men's decision to try to get a chance to use the boat in exchange for the women using the fire and shelter? I was annoyed with the women, it's like they "deserved" to get help, just for being women. Whatever happened to "girl power" and "gender equality"? I agree with ZKP's summary last week or 2 weeks ago, that they set back the women's movement a few years, even a few decades. WTF is up with Bill? His excitement seems to come out of nowhere lol. Dude, you lost the challenge for your tribe, stop being happy. I hope one of the men win, but from what I can remember I don't see any of them getting a "winner's edit". Maybe Michael? (the one who stole the machete). Or Jason. Him switching seems to indicate he has some brains and playing the game. Colton is just too annoying lol. I think a woman will win this season, and my pick is Sabrina (biased because I love her), although Alicia (A-lee-see-ya) seems to have a good amount of air time and could also be the winner or the 2nd placer, but I am guessing she'll make finals.

Sabrina has struck me as being the winner of this season since the first episode. And if she does win, I'd probably be happy. I like her now and based off her personality, I doubt I'll dislike her later. I agree that none of the men seem to be getting a strong enough edit to win this. Jonas and Jay will probably be around for a while, but neither seem strong enough to win the whole thing. I highly doubt Colton will win with his terrible attitude. And Bill was 100% correct at Tribal Council: Colton wrote off all of the other guys and never gave them a chance. I'm fine with Colton sticking around for a while since he adds some entertainment to the show, but I can't wait to see him crash and burn. The only person on the show more cocky or arrogant than Colton was Matt. And at least Matt was nice to look at.

Ok so I watched last nights episode and wow lots to say
1) Jaypee i totally agree with you. The women came over and the guys gave you fire, they felt sorry for you. They asked are you going to let us use the canoe and all the women were like I can not make that decision... they are needy women.. Just terrible.
2) The reward challenge sorry I had to laugh at Kat and Troyzan who took how many times to get it correct? 15... So sad
3) Colton is annoying the crude out of me. Though I see him making it pretty far.
4) How can you lose a puzzle that badly.. you were so far ahead. That is sad. Very sad!!
5) I had to laugh when Matt got the boot. He was so cocky... though come on you have an alliance of 4... with nine people in the tribe... He definitely was not a math major.

I loved this episode!! So many funny moments. *raises hand* "Jeff can we see the last 2 votes?" hahahahahaha!! In JP's mind: "And we cast this guy why again?" That has to be a first, but I defer to Jeff on that - you have the best survivor memory I know.
Glad the women won to make the show more interesting - last week I figured all women out first one by one. should thye ahve shared something with the men well yes!! the canoe? yeah but maybe after they used it first - it was their reward, or shared fish they caught - i think that would have been good. the men have been more willing to share and offered them shelter - stupid women there, perhaps.
So glad Matt left! The men's circle of strategy talk and jay and matt walking up - so funny!! and sorry jay I do like you - how could I have mistaken you for matt?? (because captions on my tv cover the tribe, day and name titles! yeah, I'll go with that! roosters?? who says that?? lol funny!!
the 7 try until we get it and I love puzzles - the women were excellent coaches on that!
