SEG is an online community that I value alot so I feel like this is something I should share with everyone here.
My mom passed away yesterday, April 19 at 10.45 am Philippine time. She has been battling cancer for only the past 4 months. Her health deteriorated quickly because the type of cancer she has, bile duct cancer, affected her digestive system, so she was not able to eat properly and was relying only on tubes.
So yeah... I guess I'll just leave an advice and say don't smoke! My mom's a heavy smoker and I read that smoking increases the risk of that type of cancer. And eat properly and exercise. You do NOT want to have cancer. It affects all aspects of your life. Not only is it hard on you, it will be hard on your family as well. It is physically, emotionally and financially draining. I feel like my life's changed and I probably will not get back to my normal life until next year.
As for the game I am signed up in, I cannot promise I will be 100% for the entire game, especially this week. After the burial, I plan on working my butt off just to pay off all the debt we accumulated from my mom's hospital bills, and this burial. Don't worry about being fun around me, humor keeps my mind off of my current situation so I actually welcome it. I'm trying to be positive so you should, too!
Thanks SEG!

So sorry to hear about your lose JP. Know about cancer affecting close friends and loved ones its defferntly not a easy thing to deal with. really sucks that you had to go through that and now have to deal with all the financial damange as well. Its crzy how much a funeral costs now adays. Cant really relate to hospital bills part since here in Canada its all paid for but I am sure its not cheap. Just hang in there and I am sure things will get better for you again soon

You Canadians are lucky. When my dad had to have heart surgery, he was lucky we qualified for Medicaid (for lower income families). Without it, it would have cost about $100,000.
I don't have any insurance now, but I might be able to get it soon.
